Written by someone who actually goes
I'm Shab — 36, London-based, and the person behind every guide on this site. No editorial team, no syndicated listicles: if it's published here, I've been to the park, stood in the queue, and written down what actually happened.
My first Disney park was Disneyland Paris, back in 2021. I was hooked almost immediately, and within two years I'd made it to every Disney and Universal park this site covers. 2026 was the year I did all of them solo.
That solo part mattered. I was genuinely daunted by the idea of travelling alone the first time I did it — and then I actually did it, and enjoyed it far more than I expected to. Questfar exists because I wanted to hand over the tips and tricks that got me there, for anyone else who's hesitating the way I was.

Travelling abroad every month has been a running New Year's resolution since January 2023 — one I've actually kept, three years running and counting. I'm a Global Entry and TSA PreCheck member, mostly because I'm back in the US a couple of times a year at this point.
What draws me to these parks is the same thing that draws me to Las Vegas and Macau — the over-the-top theming, the shows, the sense of being somewhere built entirely to pull you out of the everyday. I get the same feeling from a good night in the West End or on Broadway. It's why I don't write about these parks like a tourist ticking off rides; I write about them like someone who's genuinely there for the immersion.
